The Unintended Journey

June 11, 2027 at 7:30pm; June 12, 2027 at 7:30pm

June 13, 2027 at 2:00pm

E.M. Pearson Theatre, Concordia University, 312 Hamline Ave N, St. Paul, MN 55104

Ethnic Dance Theatre proudly presents the story of how one person’s love of culture and folklore leads them down a path of self-discovery, and helps them find their true community.

“The Unintended Journey” follows Jano (YAH-no), a young man, who enjoys dancing and singing almost as much as he loves partying, as he attempts to find the way back to his bed after a fun night with friends. The madness that ensues takes him on an odyssey far from home, introduces him to the world outside of his tiny village, and teaches him about finding and spreading joy in life!

The show will feature fan favorite dances from Slovakia and Romania, as well as brand new debuts from Croatia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Ukraine. Mila Vocal Ensemble will be joining the journey, and as always, live musical accompaniment will be provided by EDT Folk Orchestra.
